Theodore G. Hall collection.

This collection consists of 249 glass plate negatives, 4 x 5" and 5 x 7", and 1 volume of contact proofs, of Upper Peninsula views made by Theodore G. Hall between 1890 and 1910. The excellent quality negatives comprising this collection are filed in original jackets with the photographer's own annotation of date, subject and exposure. Subjects include mines sites, lumber camps, town scenes, historic and scenic places, and home life.

Theodore Hall was an information specialist for the Office of Civilian Defense in Cleveland, Ohio, dring World War II. He was also a writer for the Cleveland City Planning Commission and a book reviewer for the Washington Post. Hall compiled an unpublished history of the Jack & Heintz Company, Jack & Heintz: the Human Factory, which focused on the company's wartime production.
